In a recent interview with Metro New York (I’d link to it, but the site appears to be down), Michael Fassbender has gone on record saying that Ridley Scott’s return to sci-fi Prometheus would not be a prequel to the much loved Alien series he helped create. Fassbender was quoted as saying “The thing is, it’s not a prequel. It definitely is separate. It is a separate story, but there are threads that connect the stories.” So it’s, uh…its own thing? Still?
In other Prometheus news, designer Neville Page will be joining the movie’s crew. Page, a creature designer for Cloverfield and Star Trek, as well as a costume designer for Tron Legacy and Green Lantern, will be designing what I can only imagine will be alien-esque creatures. As with everything regarding this picture, no one is saying a thing. Which is kind of cool, I guess.
Oh, and apparently a set photo has been leaked, and you can check that out in the gallery. There’s not much going on, just a green screen and some crates. Crates are confirmed in Prometheus!
