By Ice Cube is working with David O. Russell again, and the last time that happened, it was teriffic. This time, though, the two are collaborating on a “potential franchise,†as Deadline reports. The logline looks terrific as well, with Mr. Cube playing “a plainclothes detective who’s quick on the trigger in an R-rated raw drama that’s thematically a throwback to those 70s revenge films like the Harry Callahan[Dirty Harry] movies.â€
This sounds pretty cool, although David O. Russell has been in a state of picking up projects very briefly before exiting them or seeing them collapse or leaving them and then all of a sudden coming back to them.
