By While promoting Expendables 2 in an interview with Movieline, Terry Crews explains that he and Mike Judge “literally met with Fox a week ago” to talk over “some Camacho stuff.” Crews has wanted to portray President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho again for awhile now, so it’s good to hear some news develop for it.
Unfortunately, the spin-offs will be web based for now. Crews explains that they are “going to see what it becomes, but [they] got approval from Fox to do some stuff…[they’re] going to start off on the internet and do some small interstitials with Camacho.” And most likely with the support of the internet, maybe we’ll get a new project from the Idiocracy universe…or at the very least a Blu-ray release.
I’m excited for any news considering Idiocracy. Terry Crews has never been more enjoyable than when he played Camacho (except maybe in White Chicks), so I can understand why he doesn’t want the character to die off. So don’t sweat it, scro’. This’ll be awesome.
