The fifth annual Ithaca Fantastik film festival will be getting underway starting November 9th and running through the 13th. The festival specializes in horror, sci fi, fantasy, thrillers, and general genre weirdness.
Over the long weekend in Ithaca, New York, 28 new genre films will be screened, including the Iko Uwais martial arts movie Headshot, indie creature feature The Master Cleanse, an animated zombie movie from Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho, and a bonkers-looking Tamil-language zombie movie from India called Miruthan. There will also be retrospective screenings of An American Werewolf in London, Altered States, and Aliens.
Flixist won’t be up in Ithaca in person, but we will review some of the films screening at the festival. Keep an eye out for our coverage during that long weekend.
The list of films being screened is included below, as well as a handful of trailers to give a feel for the festival’s programming. For tickets and move information, visit the official Ithica Fantastik website.
