One of the biggest highlights of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man movies was J.K. Simmons’ portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson. He perfectly embodied the role, and it’ll be hard for other actors to top him.
News just came that Simmons will play Commissioner Gordon in Zack Snyder’s Justice League movie. (Which is moving along on schedule despite rumors of worries from Warner Bros execs.)
Gary Oldman did a masterful job as Jim Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s Batman films, and he’s a tough guy to top. If anyone can make the role his own, though, Simmons might be the guy.
How do you feel about J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon? Is he a hero or a menace? Let us know in the comments, faithful Daily Bugle readers.
