By James McTeigue’s career started happening while working under the Wachowski’s as a 1st Unit Director on the Matrix films and Dark City, but then he quickly showed us his full directing talents with V for Vendetta. He would later direct Ninja Assassin, which didn’t quite live up to his previous effort. His latest film, The Raven, has already persuaded FilmNation to commission him for another movie called Message From The King. They must have really liked The Raven, huh? The plot of the movie is described as a man named Jacob King, an enigmatic outsider who comes to LA to investigate the sudden disappearance of his sister.
Personally, I’m very excited to see The Raven since I happen to love John Cusack (man crush) and also because James McTeigue is clearly a director to be paying attention to right now (see header). Message From The King sounds interesting, but I will reserve my excitement until I get a more detailed plot synopsis. The Raven comes out March 9, 2012.
