By When Gareth Edwards and Legendary released a so-so Godzilla, the giant lizard’s original creators Toho decided that it wasn’t good enough and announced they were working on a Godzilla of their own. A more proper one, per se. Sure companies talk big but they usually trip over themselves right?
Well a quick look at the Japanese, almost entirely silent trailer for their upcoming Shin Godzilla proves already that Godzilla is back in the right hands. Sure the American counterpart is going to fight Mothra, King Ghidorah, Rodan and eventually King Kong, but look at that terrifying Godzilla!
Mixing classic tokusatsu style of a man in a rubber suit with CG, this new Godzilla is at least visually superior. Who know how the rest of the film will shape up, however.
Shin Godzilla releases in Japan July 29th.
