Now that Jennifer Lawrence is a huge Hollywood star, she’s ready to leave her more embarrassing roles behind. Haha, no I’m sure that’s not the case. With heavy hitters like Oscar Isaac joining the cast of the next X-Men sequel, Apocalypse, these films are far more legitimate than ever. But as we’ve seen with Marvel, these huge comic book franchises can take a huge chunk out of an actor’s stamina and career.
So speaking with MTV, Lawrence said definitively that “It is my last one, actually.” With the X-Men films having a new set of continuity (the events of the first three films no longer happened as they did) who knows what’ll happen to Mystique? Maybe since it’s set in the 80s, the next film will just age them all forward and they’ll recast her? The little we do know of the film seems to suggest this as a young Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm are set to show up with rumors that Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry will reprise their roles somehow as well.
