Josh Brolin (who plays Thanos) has been cast as Cable in Deadpool 2

Well… that was unexpected. After months of speculation (or weeks–who’s counting), Josh Brolin has been cast as Cable in Deadpool 2. Brolin also plays Thanos in the MCU movies, which are a different thing entirely than the Fox X-Men franchise.

So much for using that Michael Shannon image more.

Brolin is signed on to play Cable in four films. He’s going to need to bulk up and undergo horrendous surgery to get those Rob Liefeld muscles. (I love you, Rob, but yeah–obvious joke is obvious.)
