Koko-di Koko-da trailer brings surreal horror with a tinge of Groundhog Day

Koko-di Koko-da is a strange and affecting piece of surreal horror about the recurring nature of grief that I’m quite smitten with. At the time of my review, the film lacked any sort of wider showings, but I’m thrilled to see the Swedish shocker begin its theatrical release.

On March 27, 2020, the film will begin its release with a theatrical opening in New York City, and if you are able to check it out, please do so. It’s well worth seeing.

An eerily framed collage of animation, brutality, surreal horror, and Lynchian characters, Koko-di Koko-da is something like you haven’t seen before and is sure to linger with you after it’s over. If indie horror is your bag, this should definitely be on your list.

Koko-di Koko-da will release in Los Angeles and nation wide sometime after its New York showing.
