By We’ve got more Disney live-action movie news for you. Apparently, Lady Gaga is interested in taking on the role of Ursula the Sea-Witch in the live-action adaption of The Little Mermaid. This past summer it was reported that this role was offered to Zendaya but Disney since then has been oddly quiet about the project.
The DisInsider was told this news from “a source close to the project.” Lady Gaga just took on her very first acting role in A Star is Born so could she go from that to playing this iconic character? (Also check out our review on the film here). It’s all speculation right now. The megastar has been getting pretty high praise for her last role and there has been talk of Oscar nominations.
Lady Gaga would fit the part perfectly since she’s known for some of the more colorful outfits she wears on stage. Hopefully, we get more confirmation from Disney themselves on whether this is in the works 100%. I for one would love to see her take on Ursula.
