The Legend of Korra, the far more successful and better-written spin-off of Avatar: The Last Airbender, will be making its debut on Netflix on August 14, 2020. The streaming juggernaut made the announcement on Twitter and has sent fans into a fervor. Many have been dying to rewatch the series, but it has been absent from streaming services for more than six years.

Netflix didn’t offer much pomp and circumstance, but is anything really needed? Fans are elated that The Legend of Korra is being given the due it deserves. With the series soon to be available to a much wider audience, a whole new generation can get sucked into the tale of Korra and how she continued the legacy of the Avatar.
It has been quite some time since I’ve seen anything related to Korra, so I’ll likely end up watching the episodes I missed. I was a bit too old for Nickelodeon when the series originally ran, so I mostly tuned it out. That’s a grave mistake on my part, but what can you do? Considering how hard it has been to find physical copies of this series, every episode available at the touch of a finger sounds great.
