By Rumor of the day is that Leonardo DiCaprio will play the main villain in Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming Django Unchained, which we’ve covered on the site many, many times before. Apparently, QT has been eying the star of The Beach for years, going back to the writing of Inglorious Basterds. Back then, Quentin wanted Mr. DiCaprio to play Hans Landa, which would’ve been very unfortunate because the world wouldn’t know Christoph Waltz the way we do today.
Having DiCaprio as the role of Calvin Candie, the owner of a huge plantation, and all around dick, would be quite refreshing, seeing as Leo has played nothing but good guys in the past. What do you lot think? Could you see Leo as a racist, slave owning prick?
