Arnold Schwarzenegger’s played diverse roles throughout his career: a barbarian, a cybernetic organism, a concerned father, a cop (you idiot), a soldier, a secret agent, a pregnant man, a governor of the state of California, and a Danny DeVito’s brother.
In the new film Maggie, Schwazenegger plays Wade, a small-town farmer whose daughter (Abigail Breslin) is turning into a zombie. Wade does his best to protect his girl as the government cracks down and tries to kill those who are infected. (“Small-town farmer” is a more believable role for Schwarzenegger than governor of the most populous state in America. I mean, seriously.)
Maggie will have its world premiere at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, which Alec Kubas-Meyer and I will be covering. Expect to see our review of Maggie some time in mid-April.
Maggie will be out in theaters in May.
