I’d imagine Steven Soderbergh won’t be back to direct any future Magic Mike sequel, assuming he’s still going along with decided to retire some fourteen thousand movies from now, so there’s a good chance a sequel as inherently unnecessary as this would hold up as well as the original. Since this kind of feels like an all around bad idea, let’s hope Tatum’s just talking out his well-toned ass, and this will be the last we hear of a Magic Mike 2.
