By Despite the fact that a Superman movie is risky business (we all remember Superman Returns‘ disappointing returns) it appears DC Comics and Warner Bros. are full steam ahead with the latest relaunch. Deadline is reporting that the positive buzz and predicted box office for Man of Steel has prompted Warner Bros. to already bring back writer/director team of David S. Goyer and Zack Snyder. Nolan will also reportedly be involved still, though in a less drastic way as he works to set up the rest of the DC film universe via JLA.
While I think we all could have predicted this happening, official confirmation is good to hear and means that DC is finally committing to creating a film universe. Of course if Man of Steel turns out to be another Superman Returns we’re guessing this will all be scrapped. Remember, Returns was also expected to be a big hit and launch a franchise and that didn’t turn out so well.
