By Variety is reporting that venerable horror director Scott Derrickson will be in charge of the upcoming Doctor Strange film.
Derrickson is most famous for his chilling Baghoul documentary, Sinister. He’s also behind the upcoming Deliver Us From Evil (which could not look any less compelling if Ben Stein played every character).
This news obliterates the rumors that Alan Taylor or Tim Burton had been tapped to helm the flick. There are still no casting rumors, but I’d love to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt play ol’ Stephen Weirdo.
