By Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening is jumping on the Netflix train with a brand spanking new show coming to the streaming mecca. Disenchantment is an adult cartoon about a Princess and her friends, but with a non-traditional twist. Imagine Rapunzel, but with heavy drinking and questionable decision-making skills.
Set in the days of knights and fancy feasts, Disenchantment takes place in Dreamland and follows the young princess Bean, her elf companion named Elfo (naturally), and a demon named Luci. Together, the three will face the perils common to fairytale characters, but with the added humor and language tailor-made for grown-up children. From the look of the released images for the upcoming show, it most certainly has the artistic Groening touch. On the vocal end, the lead roles are voiced by Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon, and Eric Andre.
