Last year we reported that Chronicle director Josh Trank was attached to Fox’s reboot of The Fantastic Four. Now he’s got a little help from another person familiar with Fox and Marvel properties: Matthew Vaughn.
Comics writer and Fox’s Marvel consultant Mark Miller revealed that the director of X-Men: First Class will produce Trank’s Fantastic Four film on his Twitter account last week:
Just off the phone with Fox and some excellent news – Matthew Vaughn is producing Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot!
Last October, Vaughn bowed out of directing X-Men: Days of Future Past for Fox, which led to Bryan Singer getting the gig. The Fantastic Four reboot will be Trank’s second film, so maybe Vaughn can provide some guidance. The FF reboot is slated for March 6, 2015.
