A debut trailer has surfaced for Michael Bay’s next film 6 Underground, to be released on Netflix this December. Featuring an all-star cast of beautiful people blowing things up across the globe, it should make for cozy holiday viewing.
Ryan Reynolds stars as one of six (can you imagine if there were seven?) special operators who’ve been presumed dead, leaving them to mete out justice as they see fit and make a little cash on the side. Mélanie Laurent, Corey Hawkins, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, and Ben Hardy round out the lead numbers, with Dave Franco also set to star.
6 Underground is another huge film for Netflix in a season of riches, with their Martin Scorsese mob epic The Irishman garnering critical acclaim days after its premiere at the New York Film Festival, and several other high-profile releases.
It’s a huge push for Netflix to have a tremendous Hollywood icon, love him or hate him, like Michael Bay working with them exclusively, one that hopefully gets more eyeballs to absorb his brand of fire and brimstone action filmmaking.
6 Underground hits Netflix December 13th this year.
