By Not happy enough with taking over the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Michael Bay’s production company Platinum Dunes is now in talks to take over the Halloween franchise. Incidentally, this news comes right after Dimension decided to cancel this year’s Halloween 3D. However, don’t expect 3D to be a thing any any new Halloween flick from the new owners.
This isn’t the first horror series Platinum Dunes has picked up over the years. Let’s take a look at the list, shall we? Amityville Horror, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, an Texas Chainsaw Massacre. If history is any indication (and it always is), look for one new Halloween movie and then nothing more from the franchise. Because that’s how Platinum Dunes seems to work.
