Remember the word that Atari was actually shopping around an idea for a Missile Commandmovie? No, you don’t? Because that’s possibly one of the dumbest ideas ever since the premise of the game was simply that missiles were falling and you had to stop them. Well, Atari was shopping the idea around and apparently Fox has now actually picked it up.
Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark will produce through Chernin Entertainment for 20th Century Fox and they’ve brought on Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama (Dracula Year Zero) to write the screenplay. The thing is actually moving forward, people! Of course by the time it makes it to the big screen — if it makes it at all — we’ll probably have a new title slapped on it and it will be about a family of talking bears who have to pretend to be human in order to survive since their forest has been destroyed.
You wait and see. That guess won’t be that far off.
