By With the runaway success of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, a fifth entry in the series was a given. So here’s that confirmation: M:I5 is in development. In a recent shareholder’s meeting, Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman let slip that the powers that be are developing the action sequel. And…that’s all we have to go off of right now.
Beyond the fact that there’s nothing to go off of, the most significant thing I got out of this report is that shareholders have such input on movies. You really get to see that this is a business instead of creating entertainment. But I digress. I don’t want this to turn into a “fight the power” style argument about corporations ruining the film industry.
