More Hulk coming if Avengers makes him cool again

Hulk still cool! Hulk still cool!

I feel bad for the big green guy. He really kicked off The Avengers thing even if his first film wasn’t built to fit into the franchise. Sadly Ang Lee’s brooding Hulk was far from what people wanted to see out of a raging green monster and the lack of enthusiasm for the film stuck to the relaunch, The Incredible Hulk, even though it was actually quite enjoyable. Yes, Hulk was not a big money maker, and it seemed future films weren’t in the works according to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige.

However, thanks to a reportedly awesome turn in The Avengers from both Mark Ruffalo and his angry counterpart we could see the big guy back on the big screen as soon as 2015. Speaking with Forbes, Marvel Entertainment’s President of Consumer Products for North America, Paul Glitter, said that if the Hulk’s successful turnaround continues Marvel will “spin him off to a stand-alone [TV] program next year,” supported by a big budget franchise movie in 2015.

We already knew about the TV show being in production, but the big budget movie is news we hadn’t heard. Of course Feige controls Marvel Studios so Glitter may just be talking out of his ass, but I don’t see why Marvel would avoid making more money.
