What do web series, after school musical groups, and klassic 90s fighting games have in common? One man: Kevin Tancharoen. The director of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy web shorts and Glee: The 3D Concert Movie is set to direct a reboot of the Mortal Kombat film franchise for New Line Cinema along with screenwriter Oren Uziel. I haven’t seen the webisodes, save for the original viral trailer, but I’m definitely excited for this. With the combination of a successful video game reboot, it seems like Mortal Kombat might be back… WITH A VENGEANCE!
