By In the last debate I gave everyone time to watch the new Pirates of the Caribbean film, and now that we’ve all seen On Stranger Tides — or chosen not to — the votes are final. I expected one of the four films to win by landslide, but hoped a few closet sequel fans would come out of the shadows. There were a few fans, but none were willing to rank any higher than the first film, which resulted in a complete shut-out win for The Curse of the Black Pearl, which received all 13 votes that were cast.
This week I’m willing to do something I usually don’t allow. Instead of just picking from which films someone wrote or directed, I’m also going to let everyone include the movies J.J. Abrams was a producer for when picking which of his films is your favorite. If it’s a movie, and J.J. Abrams touched it, then it counts!
