Coming exclusively to #DisneyPlus in 2020, @TheMuppets proudly present MUPPETS NOW, a new short-form unscripted series! I’d love to tell you more, but Joe The Legal Weasel is right behind me. Gulp! pic.twitter.com/UCXdaopQJR

When Disney+ launches in November, people may not be leaving their houses for months on end. Along with the plethora of Marvel shows and live-action remakes, Disney+ will be getting a brand new Muppets series. Called Muppets Now, it seems to be going back to Jim Henson’s roots as it is an unscripted, short-form, skit based show. That could be a good or bad thing, depending on what you liked about the iconic puppets.
Muppets Now won’t be launching alongside Disney+, but we have a vague 2020 date mentioned with the official announcement. Considering that this streaming service is going to put all others to shame in terms of sheer volume, I think we’ll be able to wait it out for The Muppets’ return.
