Don’t let this week’s title fool you. Below a week filled with Disney Channel movies like High School Musical, Camp Rock, and The Cheetah Girls — and there are certainly plenty — there are lots of new offerings from Netflix Watch Instantly. It seems the drought that plagued all of January is finally over.
Moulin Rouge makes me feel like a little girl every time I watch it, but I can’t help loving the production. You can witness the decline of Robert Deniro’s career with Meet the Parents (though the first film was kind of enjoyable back in the day) and Analyze That (not as good as Analyze This). Some classic horror is on tap with The Wolf Man (Lon Chaney) and The Bride of Frankenstein (Boris Karlof). Get Shorty is a fun black comedy. And finally, there are some Hercules films that led up to Hercules: The Legendary Journeys in the late 90s.
