And just like that, Netflix Watch Instantly has dropped back into a pit of mediocrity. You’ve got some more PBS documentaries, some random Westerns, and possibly worst of all, The Sting II, which is as horrible an idea as it sounds. But there’s a glimmer of hope in there.
The most high profile offering is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Gore Verbinski’s proof that video game adaptations don’t have to be absolutely horrible, though they still aren’t anything special. If I can though, I’d like to turn your attention to The Secret in Their Eyes, the Argentinian film that won Best Foreign Film at last year’s Oscars. Of the less than 40 new films added this week, it’s easily the only one that has to be added to your Instant Queue.
The full list is after the break, and who knows, you might find something interesting that I overlooked.
