I know this isn’t a forum to get political, but let me just say this: after following the story through the afternoon and the evening, and then staying up really late (despite a bad cold) to find out the final fate of SB5 in Texas, I can say with absolute certainly that Wendy Davis is freakin’ punk rock. Add to that the Supreme Court rulings on DOMA and Prop 8 this morning and there’s some joy in my step and my typing hands.
Also, there’s a new Dismemberment Plan album in the works?! Holy crap!
Now I can watch things on Netflix in peace. And there’s a lot to watch.
The biggie this week is obviously The Avengers, rounded out by Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and the Disney films Mulan and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. (Some DTV Disney sequels are out too, if you’re into that sort of thing.) Other notable releases we’ve covered in the past are The ABCs of Death, Supporting Characters, and Katy Perry: Part of Me (which seems like it was always meant to be watched in the privacy of one’s own home). I’m personally excited about John Hodgman: RAGNAROK, though I still haven’t gotten to his last book of complete world knowledge That Is All.
After the cut, all the things on the Netflix Instant, and a dance party.
