Sure we have some awesome coverage of SXSW 2013 going on, but that’s what’s less important here. Yesterday by the grace of Jebus and all that is Jebus, a firm made a successful bid for Hostess of $410 million dollars. Which means that we’ll have Twinkies back on the shelf by the Summer (although I didn’t notice since the generic ones were still being made, and were equally as delicious). That also means you don’t need to pay a bajillion dollars to that one crazy man on the Internet that thought they would be worth a fortune.
What, there’s stuff on Netflix Instant this week? Oh yeah, I got a little too excited because Twinkies. This week we have the long awaited season three of Archer (which I unfortunately blasted through in two days), another Hansel and Gretel knockoff creatively titled Hansel and Gretel, but this week is all about a clever Arrested Development tease. Fans of the show may recognize a few titles in the list below: notably Love, Indubitably or El Amor Prohibido (which shares the name of a Selena song). Hilariously if you click one of the film links, it just leads you to the Arrested Development episode where it was featured. This is all probably a little stunt to build of hype for the season four release. And I do have to say it works. Seeing all of the fake movies made me just want to see Arrested Development again, and the links might coax non-viewers into watching the show. Good on ya, Netflix.
Take the jump to get the full list of releases this week coupled with a few songs that a bunch of these movies reminded me of.
