By November is an awkward month for holidays. Halloween is over, Christmas is still a while away but close enough to acknowledge, and with the major themes of Thanksgiving centering around food, family, and football, there aren’t a ton of movies about it. Netflix’s choices for this week are feeling this lack of thematic solidarity, with a smattering of Halloween and Christmas movies and, bizarrely, a romantic comedy about Valentine’s Day. There are a lot of romantic comedies this week, actually, as well as general romances. Also, Jesus Christ Superstar. Time to get some show tunes stuck in your head.
