Netflix’s Blonde, the Ana de Armas starring, Andrew Dominik produced Marilyn Monroe biopic, has just gotten a whole heaping of additional cast members. As Deadline reports, Garret Dillahunt (Fear the Walking Dead), Scoot McNairy (True Detective), Lucy DeVito (The Comedian), Michael Masini (Dynasty), and Spencer Garrett (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) will all feature in the film in undisclosed roles. As well as that, Chris Lemmon (Duet), Rebecca Wisocky (For All Mankind), Ned Bellamy (Django Unchained), and Dan Butler (The Mist) have been cast in smaller roles. That’s quite the cast listing,
The film is based upon the bestselling novel of the same name by author Joyce Carol Oates. It takes a more fictitious look at the life of Marilyn Monroe, one of Hollywood’s most popular and prominent sex symbols of the 20th century. The film will be a modern reimagining of her story told through the lens of present-day celebrity culture. Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner will be producing the film for Plan B alongside Tracey Landon and Scott Robertson.
