If you are a fan of psychological thrillers based on real-life cases you’ll want to check out Lizzie, due out on September 14th.
The film stars Chloe Sevigny as Lizzie Borden, the young woman at the center of one of the most chilling murder mysteries in American history, who ends up befriending the housemaid Bridget Sullivan (Kristen Stewart). Their intimate friendship is shown leading up to the days before the murders actually take place. August 4th actually is the 126th anniversary since the murders took place in 1892
It looks absolutely gripping and an interesting take on exploring more about Lizzie’s life beyond being a possible killer but capable of loving. Personally, biopics like this always peek my interest and I hope for other biopic loves they will enjoy it as well. I especially like the end of the trailer where it shows more of the interrogation into the murders and the way Chloe makes this chilling statement “This is America sir, every man with a pulse has enemies”, just let that sink in.
