If there’s anything to be learned from the train wreck that was Spider-Man 3, it’s that three villains are at least one too many. Green Lantern will already feature the giant-headed Hector Hammond on Earth and the fear entity known as Paralax out in space, but if this new concept art is to be believed, there may be one more enemy throwing down the gauntlet. Check the art out after the jump, as well as an explanation of who Baddie #3 is.

In the comics, Krona was an Oan scientist who accidentally created the multiverse (whoops) while trying to see the Big Bang. He’s popped up a few times here or there over the years since his introduction and is currently at work capturing all the emotional spectrum’s entities. Why? Clearly, he’s a fan of Pokémon.
Like many, I’m largely unfamiliar with Krona outside of the explanation of the multiverse’s beginnings in the seminal classic Crisis on Infinite Earths. Fortunately, Green Lantern scribe Geoff Johns seems content in familiarizing all of us with the villain before the movie comes out on June 17th next year.
Is three villains too many? Is Krona really necessary in a presumably already-packed film? Does Paralax look kind of like Galactus from Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer? Is Sinestro’s mustache truly as great as I think it is? Lemme know what you think!
