For a Pixar film we’ve heard relatively little about The Good Dinosaur. That may be because it’s run into so much trouble in production. It was delayed from a 2014 release to a November, 2015 release, but things seem to be rolling now as we finally have some new art work and a title logo to share.
Along with this comes an updated plot synopsis, which reveals the basic concept of a boy travelling with a dinosaur on a journey in a world where dinosaurs never went extinct.
The Good Dinosaur asks the generations-old question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? In theaters November 25, 2015, the film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event unsettles Arlo’s family, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way – a human boy. “The Good Dinosaur” is an extraordinary journey of self-discovery full of thrilling adventure, hilarious characters and poignant heart.
With all the trouble going on around this it will be interesting to see how this turns out. Another Cars 2 or something that will once again be an instant Pixar classic?
