By They’re not even trying at this point. Just slap ole’ Tom Cruise’s face on a poster, throw the title on there, and you’ve got yourself some promotional material. This doesn’t convey anything! All the looker on can deduce from this poster is that Tom Cruise is in this movie and he may or may not have suffered some kind of brain damage that has severely limited his attention span. At least the trailer was interesting, geez.
For those who don’t know, Jack Reacher is based on the novel One Shot by Lee Child and follows Reacher, a former military police detective, as he uncovers a plot that begins with the murder of five people by a trained military sniper. Ass-kicking ensues soon there after. The film hits theaters on December 21st, and then I can finally decide for myself if Reacher is intentionally trying to be the Batman.
