By I hope you guys are ready because this is one of those films I’m going to constantly post about. I’ve said it once, but I’m going to reiterate it just to be clear: I love Guillermo Del Toro. Not just as a director, but as a human being. The man is one of my heroes, for realsies. And in honor of his upcoming giant robot/monster throw-down extravaganza coming out next summer, someone was kind enough to post these scans from Empire Magazine.
We get a little bit of a look behind the scenes, but otherwise there’s not much to say about them. There’s a little bit of destruction, some neon lights, and a hearty helping of Idris Elba. Hopefully this will begin the drip feeding of some serious media, because if there is one thing that will define this movie, it’s going to be the monsters. Del Toro is renown for his imaginative creature designs, and I can’t wait to see them on such a large scale. Pacific Rim will be out July 12, 2013. I won’t let you forget it.
