So this week’s major releases are considerably more plentiful than last week’s. Ryan Reynolds is on double-duty as a guy buried alive in Buried and an imaginary super hero in the indie film Paper Man, which I can’t recommend enough (Emma Stone’s in it, incidentally). The Virginity Hit, a pretty terrific faux-documentary about losing it is another excellent release, and with its episodic feel and surprisingly realistic actors, it’s worth at the very least a rental. Edward Norton has cornrows in Stone, Idris Elba brings some legitimacy to Takers, and we get another straight-to-DVD prequel with Death Race 2. On the bright side, it’s got Danny Trejo, and that makes any movie tolerable.
