I was going to make fun of From Prada to Nada, but after opening at 17th place in the box office, I realized making fun of it would be like making fun of the kid who always brings a bag lunch to school. It’s not his fault! In From Prada to Nada’s case, it’s the fault of whomever thought that putting a Latin spin on Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility was a good idea.
That said, there’s an okay selection this week. The Green Hornet is out, and if nothing else, it was entertaining watching Jay Chou do lots of awesome stuff while Seth Rogen played Seth Rogen. The Dilemma is also out, so you can finally watch Winona Rider get all up in Channing Tatum’s grill in the privacy of your own home.
My two Blu-ray picks of the week are certainly Robert Rodriguez’s From Dusk till Dawn and the awesomely dark Robin Williams film What Dreams May Come. If you’ve never seen either of these films, do yourself a favor and pick them up.
As always, hit the jump to see what else is on sale today and let me know in the comments what you’re buying, what I should watch, or what future releases you’re excited for!
