New Releases, week of 01/10/2012: “Balls” edition

Y’know, I really didn’t see any of this week’s films. Killer Elite sounded moderately entertaining what with Statham, Owen, and DeNiro involved, but it didn’t get any love from from Andrew. As cute as What’s Your Number? looked cute but that one managed to escape me. Not being a fan of baseball, Moneyball, despite having Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, and Chris “Andy Dwyer” Pratt in it, didn’t really jump out at me. I think, looking back, this might be the first week where I haven’t seen any of the big releases. Scorpion King 3 sounds like a winner, though.

On the re-release side of things, Fox has released four classic (more or less) romantic comedies on Blu-ray: Fever Pitch, Never Been Kissed, Shallow Hal, and When Harry Met Sally. Also, for those of you who need a slightly deeper Blu-ray fix, Billy Elliot is out today as well.

As always, the full list of releases is below. Lemme know what you’re picking up this week and if there’s anything I didn’t mention that is worth checking out!
