New Releases, week of 9/27/11: “The Baconator” edition

This is the last week I will ever be twenty-four. On Sunday, I embark on the year-long odyssey of being twenty-five. I hope that next Tuesday, as a slightly belated birthday present, the universe will give me a week of outstanding releases, because between this week and last I am simply atrophying.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is out this week on Friday, which is weird, because it feels like it was just in theaters. Footloose has a re-release, just a couple of weeks before its remake Oh God why hits theaters. Ben-Hur get a re-release and the awesome sounding 1970’s Italian slasher Torso gets a Blu-ray release. That’s really about it, unless you’re into Jeff Dunham.

As always, the full list of releases is after the jump, and lemme know what you’re picking up this week and if there’s anything I didn’t mention that is worth checking out!
