Newest trailer for Blended is the saddest thing I’ll see all day

I’m probably the only person left waiting for the end of the Sandler/Barrymore Rom-Com trilogy that started with The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Those films were pretty great because they were made back when Sandler seemed to care more about his projects. That’s why this newest trailer for Blended makes me feel just awful. It’s a pale reminder that this Sandler and Barrymore aren’t the same as the two shown in those two films. 

I was hoping that now since they were older and wiser, we’d get a break from all of the childish gimmicks that have littered current Happy Madison films. I was wrong. So wrong. Blended disappoints in theaters May 23.
