By Free stuff is great. Free stuff where there are famous people who you can bother are even greater. This is that latter one. On Monday, June 17, at 7 PM, Oscilloscope will be screening their upcoming comedy Breakup at a Wedding at the AMC Loews 7 on Third Ave. I don’t know anything about the movie, so I can’t guarantee its quality, but if you go, you get the special privilege of a Q&A with Zachary Quinto, who played Spock in the Star Trek Into Darkness. Quinto produced the film, and Oscilloscope wants to make sure that his appearance is met with a packed house.
Getting to the screening is a two-step process. First, click this link and fill out the RSVP information. Then, show up early, because like with the public Gofobo screenings we do, these things are first-come, first-serve. The reservation thing recommends arriving at least 30 minutes early, but depending on how many people like myself decide this is worth telling people, showing up even earlier might not be a terrible idea.
Also: if you catch Zachary Quinto looking at you, give him the “live long and prosper.” See if he’s been able to figure out the mechanics of it since the release of the Star Trek reboot in 2009.
