By Variety reports that Paul Dano is set to star alongside Joseph Gordon Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt in sci-fi thriller Looper. Director Rian Johnson (Brick, The Brothers Bloom) wrote the script and it involves a group of assassins called “Loopers†who work for a crime syndicate in the future who send their victims into the past in order to evade authority in their present. Confused yet?
I’m excited for this one myself, as I am a fan of Johnson’s previous films Brick and The Brothers Bloom (very overlooked movie). It should be interesting to see how Johnson will shape the sci-fi genre to his liking like he did with his previous works, much less deal with the intricacies of time travel. Backed with a solid cast, this should be one to look out for.
Also, bit of a rant, but Rian Johnson and not Ryan Johnson? C’mon.
