By Now that Episode VII has a date and is moving ahead with production, the nerds of the world finally have a semi-reasonable excuse to pick apart every rumor and tease. Back when the movie was still in the planning stages, it was a little silly. But no longer. Now there are photos posted by corporate Twitter accounts.
Yes, the teasing begins with a tweet from J.J. Abrams’ production company Bad Robot. It’s a no-brainer, to be sure. R2-D2 is one of the most iconic things about Star Wars, and Abrams knows a thing or two about inserting juuuuust enough recognizable imagery to placate fanboys from his work on the Star Trek flicks. But hey, if you were looking for confirmation that someone involved with this movie has some idea of what they’re doing, this should do it.
Also, c’mon, let’s just get the C-3PO photo over with.
