I honestly know absolutely nothing about the 21 Jump Street show, except that Johnny Depp starred in it. What I know about the franchise, I learned from this trailer. If it’s any indication of the show’s tone, then I think I might have to look into a few episodes. Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller (of the under-appreciated Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) and written by Jonah Hill (I Heart Huckabees), the film stars Hill and Channing Tatum (A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints) as two bumbling cops assigned to act undercover to bust a drug ring at a local high school. The trailer also previews Ice Cube (Are We There Yet?), Brie Larson (13 Going on 30), Ellie Kemper (Mystery Team), and Nick Offerman (Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous).
21 Jump Street will be in theaters March 16th.
