It’s a big week for trailer news. Yesterday we heard that the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens would run before Avengers: Age of Ultron and now we hear word that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will get its first trailer before Mad Max: Fury Road.
Collider reports that WB is doing this not only because it’ll help boost ticket sales for Mad Max, which, with it’s violence and old IP, is far from a sure thing, but also because it’s right after Age of Ultron releases. That means folks won’t still be caught up in that film and will be hungry for their next dose of superhero crossover. Don’t worry if for some reason you aren’t going to see Mad Max: Fury Road, our guess is that to avoid bootlegging they’ll release the trailer online the same day, which is May 15.
