By Marvel has a massive catalog of characters to make movies about and with the previous word that the studio had two unannounced films in the works a lot of talk swirled about what characters they would be tapping. It was pretty obvious that one of the films would be the next Avengers, but now Latino Review is saying they have it on good authority that the other film is going to be a stand alone Black Panther movie.
This will make Black Panther the first major black superhero to get a film that has a chance of actually being good, which is a pretty big deal obviously. Marvel has been dropping hints throughout their films as well, as they are wont to do. There was Wakanda (the country Black Panther hails from) in Iron Man 2 and that is also where the material from Cap’s shield came from. It’s all interconnected, you see. Those folks at Marvel are so clever.
This is still just a rumor, but a Black Panther film has been rumored for ages even long enough ago to have Wesley Snipes attached to it. Remember when he was relevant? It was about the time Marvel got the rights back to the character in 2005.
