By Remember how Godzilla was being rebooted by Monters director Gareth Roberts? Yep, this might be what the big bastard looks like. Supposedly, the monster being created for the film, which will reportedly be a return to the old “man in a suit” style of ol’ Gojira, will be heavily based off of designs of sculptor Hector A. Arce, part of the design team for the film. This sculpture, which you can see in greater detail in the gallery below, represents the sum of his efforts on the film.
I really, REALLY like this. It’s just true enough to the original to keep the purist in me happy, but it also looks like a f**king awesome giant monster that’s gonna go ape all over Tokyo, and I will love every second.
